The United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland will be announced as hosts of the 2028 European Championship at a UEFA meeting in Switzerland today.

The five-nation combined bid is running unopposed after Turkey withdrew from the process last week.

This will be the third time that the tournament will be hosted in England, who previously hosted the 1996 tournament and held matches of the 2020 tournament in London.

It will also be the second time that the tournament has been hosted in Scotland, who also held matches of the 2020 tournament in Glasgow, as well as the first time it will be hosted in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Wales.

Venues include Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Dublin, Glasgow, Liverpool, London (x2) Manchester and Newcastle.
