Mr. Stephen Yakubu, the Regional Minister of Upper East, has created a significant reaction among Ghanaians by making controversial statements about John Dramani Mahama’s plan to improve Ghana’s condition through a 24-hour economy if he becomes president again.
Speaking to his fellow countrymen, the minister voiced his worries about how Mahama’s suggestion would prevent people from having meaningful time with their partners. These remarks were uttered in the company of Mr. Anthony Namoo, who is the chairman of the New Patriotic Party in the Upper East Region, along with other supporters of the party.
In addition, the minister stated that the vice president understands the needs of the area and would not support Mr. The policy of Mahama, aimed at establishing a 24-hour economy. The vice president claims to possess an understanding of the area. He mentions this idea of a 24-hour economy, my brothers. When we exhaust ourselves from working on our farms, we have to rest and be intimate with our wives. We must stay with our wives.
Yakubu informed the audience. At the Sekote Tenglebgre Festival in the Nabdam District in 2023, the Minister delivered a speech on behalf of Dr.Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President, was not able to be present.
