The 2023 BET Awards came to a thrilling conclusion, with Cameroonian singer Libianca emerging as the winner of the Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act category.
Libianca beat out tough competition from the likes of Ghanaian musician Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie, Asake (Nigeria), Flo (UK), Maureen (France), MC Ryan SP (Brazil), Pabi Cooper (South Africa), Raye (UK), and Werenoi (France) who were among the talented artists vying for the coveted award.
Prior to the main event, the Pre-Awards Welcome party set the stage for excitement and anticipation as Camidoh delivered an electrifying performance that left attendees in awe.
The party, held at the prestigious Grammy Museum, was a perfect precursor to the BET Awards, fueling the anticipation for the night’s main event.Camidoh, who was among the nominees for Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act, exuded confidence leading up to the awards.
Despite his failure to win the coveted award, Camidoh had fun at the event as he connected with several Hollywood Big Whigs.According to his manager, George Britton in a previous interview, a nomination of this stature was very important as it not only celebrates his achievements as an artist but also shines a spotlight on the rich musical landscape of Ghana.
