The CEO of the Taabea Ghana Music Awards UK, Eric Nii Tetteh, also known as Alordia, has verified that he gave Shatta Wale £80,000 as payment for performing at this year’s award ceremony.
He confirmed this statement during an interview with Kwame Dadzie on the Twitter Spaces show called ‘Joy Entertainment Unpacked’ on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.

When questioned about whether Shatta Wale stated the accurate sum of money he gave to him, Alordia responded positively. He brought it up in conversation. “Yes, he brought it up,” he mentioned.
“I have been actively involved in this industry for twenty years.” If I wasn’t making any progress, do you think I would continue doing that job? Can you count how many times I travel to Ghana in a year?
Does he pay for my travel expenses?” he inquired in response to assertions made by Peace FM presenter Kwasi Aboagye that the organizers were unable to afford £80,000 as Shatta Wale’s performance fee. Check out the quantity of sponsors I possess. Take a look at the location. Did you notice how crowded the venue was?
I managed to secure approximately 6 reliable sponsors, ensuring that each category had its own sponsor, thanks to the work we have been doing for the past 6 years.
Alordia further mentioned that the citizens of the UK are well aware of my contributions to the industry both in the past and present. The Royal Regency in London hosted the 2023 Taabea Ghana Music Awards on October 7th, 2023.
Shatta Wale was declared as the winner in the Artist of the Year category. The Ghana Music Awards UK, which was established six years ago, serves as a platform for Ghanaians residing in the United Kingdom to honor and appreciate Ghanaian musicians from both Ghana and the UK.
