Julius Malema and thousands of his supporters chanted ‘Kill the boer, kill the farmer’ at the party’s 10th anniversary celebration at the FNB stadium this past weekend.
JOHANNESBURG – Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has defended himself after being scrutinised over leading the controversial Dubul’ ibhunu song.
He claimed that the public outrage was sponsored by the DA – which he said needs to make terms with the Equality Court’s ruling over the song.
“When do we respect the judgment of the court and when do we disrespect the judgment of the court? When they favour Zille we must respect them, when they don’t favour Hellen Zille we must not respect them.”
In fact, Malema said the recent public outrage won’t stop him from chanting the song.
The US billionaire called on South African president Cyril Ramaphosa to condemn the chants from extremists urging people to kill white farmers
