Serwaa Amihere, a Ghanaian Broadcaster and Entrepreneur, has expressed regret and offered an apology to the Action Worship Center. This comes after accusing them of plagiarizing her designs.
The renowned journalist took to Facebook to publicly accuse the Church and its Choir of plagiarizing designs from her clothing brand, Office and Co, which has received numerous awards.
“Serwaa Amihere is the name.” Ms Amihere had observed an image of the women at the church wearing a lovely pink dress, which she asserted was her original creation.
Serwaa’s sudden emotional outburst gained traction on various social media platforms, prompting several users to delve deeper into the issue. Subsequently, it was revealed on Pinterest that the design Serwaa had originally presented as her own was in fact a pre-existing design by a Chinese designer named Lee Jong Suk.
Serwaa was publicly accused of plagiarizing internet designs and passing them off as her own. She later apologized to the church, their customers, and the public and announced that the company will be recalling the dress from their clothing collection.
