The wife of the vice-president, Samira Bawumia, has been involved in fatal road accident According to a reliable source, ghaneye.org has confirmed that a serious car crash has occurred and sadly, one person has died as a result.

According to reports, the second woman is said to be in good condition as she did not suffer any significant harm. As per the source, the vice president’s wife was on her way to the Ashanti Region when a sprinter bus almost crashed into her group, but unfortunately ended up hitting two cars behind hers. As a consequence, one individual in Samira Bawumia’s convoy lost their life. According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the incident occurred at Ohene-Nkwanta, which is close to Nobewam, located off the Kumasi-Accra highway.

Eight individuals have experienced different levels of harm and are currently being provided with medical care. According to the GNFS, a team of rescuers, headed by STNO II Odjer Jonathan, reached the accident location around 1312 hours. They discovered a crash involving a Toyota Land Cruiser (GC-9094-21), Toyota Land Cruiser (VR-2105-15), Mercedes Benz C180 (NR-1977-18), and a Benz Sprinter (GE-7256-14).

According to the statement, four out of the eight victims had already been saved by members of the public and transported to the hospital. The engine compartments and windshields of both the Mercedes Benz Sprinter and Benz C180 were heavily damaged. The rear of the Toyota Land Cruiser with license plate GC-9094-21 also had partial damage, along with the Toyota Land Cruiser with license plate VR-2105-15.
