Renowned Ghanaian clergyman and founder of Anointed Palace Chapel (APC), Kwaku Agyei Antwi, commonly known as Rev Obofour, has bestowed a substantial donation of Gh20,000 to fellow minister and musician, Cecilia Marfo.
This occurred following the visit of the popular artist, known for the song ‘Afunumu Ba’, to the church of the controversial religious leader last weekend. During a public event, Reverend Obofour expressed that he finds solace and optimism in the music produced by the artist referred to as the ‘Woman Of God’ when he faces challenging times.
He further affirmed this sentiment as he presented a monetary gift to the musician. He went on to express his deep affection and respect for the singer, who recently revealed how hurtful remarks have had a negative impact on the size of her followers. Joy Time in Africa, mentioned that her upcoming album will feature a combination of different music genres and will include collaborations with various artists.
The Prime Morning Show brought to light the concerning reduction in the number of members in her church. The membership has dropped significantly from over 400 people to a mere 40. Cecilia put the blame on her Diana Asamoah, a gospel musician, and Kennedy Agyapong, a Member of Parliament, have been blamed for the downfall of her church. She mentioned that most of her church attendees stopped coming to her church due to issues they had with her.
She also mentioned that she has let go of any ill feelings towards those who have had a detrimental impact on her work in the ministry. On the other hand, Rev Obofour, during the presentation of the aforementioned money to Cecilia, urged her to remain enthusiastic and passionate in her commitment to serving her creator. He also mentioned that he has experienced his fair share of social media trolls and negative feedback from people in Ghana, but he chose to disregard them and remain focused.
Obofour gave guidance to the singer, suggesting that she should ignore any negative opinions from others and instead concentrate on the future blessings she will receive from God when the time is right.
