It was reported earlier on that liberty Professionals has been sold or has decided to sell its slot in the Ghana Division One League to another club.
Liberty Professionals has come out to debunk that story and went ahead to make some deep revelations as the club is planning on a new strategy I order to return to the Premier League and also produce more talent.

“The end of Liberty Professionals as we know it. The club has decided to “sell its slot” in the Ghana Division One League to another club. In other words, Liberty Professionals will no longer exist as a club competing in Ghana’s second tier league” according to reports.
This means, they have ended any desire of competing at the top level as a football club. Instead, they will now focus on being some sort of an “academy”, developing players from grassroots with no focus on qualifying to the top divisions.
Liberty Professionals has produced some of Ghana’s greatest players in the last 20 years, with some of their most notable graduates being Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, Asamoah Gyan, Kwadwo Asamoah, Derek Boateng, just to mention a few.
