Ghanaian artist Edem has recently discussed his mental well-being, revealing his personal struggles with depression and how he has managed to overcome it.
The rapper known as ‘Gbevu’ stated that he does not regularly consume marijuana or alcohol, which has played a crucial role in helping him avoid depression throughout his life. I have not experienced depression before. I have experienced difficult times in my life, but I have never experienced depression.
During an interview with Joy Prime, he mentioned that he believes the reason is that he doesn’t use marijuana. I do not engage in any of those activities. I am not a smoker of cigarettes. I avoid consuming excessive amounts of alcohol. I seldom drink alcohol, and it is quite rare for me to do so. I believe that in order for you to become depressed, you have to engage in activities that push you into that mental state, he further stated.
Edem stated that he prefers engaging in sexual activities over smoking or any other recreational activity because he believes it is a healthier choice. That will also depend on the context as if I am constantly traveling and occupied, I do not have the time.
However, if I spend an entire week in a specific location without engaging in any activities, having sexual intercourse once or twice a day would be acceptable. I am currently in a marriage, and I recently mentioned that it is acceptable for us to have some free time or be unoccupied occasionally, whether it happens once or twice a day.
When I am working in Ghana, I make sure to seize any opportunities that arise for the benefit of my family.
“When asked if he has a sex addiction, Edem responded with a firm ‘No’.” I cannot have addictions as stated in my Bible, where it is mentioned that being addicted to anything is not acceptable. “To is the deity you worship.”
