Failatu Abdul-Razak has successfully concluded her Guinness World Record cookathon, surpassing the previous record and establishing a new one for the longest individual cooking marathon, unofficially lasting 226 hours.
At first planned for a continuous cooking marathon lasting 5 days, Chef Faila was inspired by the accomplishments of Ugandan Chef Mama Dee and hence, expanded her impressive culinary endeavor to an impressive duration of 10 days. Chef Faila started the longest cooking marathon by a single person on January 1, 2024, with the initial plan of concluding on January 5, 2024.
However, the duration was later prolonged until January 10 to discourage other individuals from attempting to break the record. The current official record is owned by Alan Fisher, who prepared food for slightly more than 119 hours. As previously mentioned, Failatu Abdul-Razak has recently completed her attempt lasting 226 hours, making her the unofficial holder of the record.
The subsequent action involves sending all the evidence that is currently obtainable to the Guinness World Record board. They will carefully examine the evidence and subsequently make a final decision regarding whether Chef Faila has achieved a new record or not, particularly in terms of financial resources.
