Antony Blinken, the Secretary of State, has arrived in Tel Aviv on Thursday to demonstrate his backing for Israel. During his visit, he will address the issue of unresolved American citizens who were either killed, held captive by Hamas, or currently hiding.

Israel is gathering a large number of soldiers close to the Gaza Strip in preparation for an anticipated ground attack. They are targeting Hamas leaders in retaliation for the militant group’s lethal attack across the border.

In Gaza, the government issued a warning about severe lack of water and electricity following Israel’s imposition of a total blockade on the densely populated and economically disadvantaged Palestinian area.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza indicated that Israeli airstrikes have resulted in hospitals being overwhelmed due to a shortage of medicine and fuel.

Israel’s minister in charge of energy stated that electricity will not be supplied to Gaza until Hamas releases over 100 hostages.
