Black Sherif, a popular hiplife artist from Ghana, has recently discussed his fashion preferences, shedding light on where he obtains his clothing from – the lively second-hand clothing market known as “Kanta” or “foose” within the local community.

During an appearance on Nana Ama McBrown’s talk show, Black Sherif spoke about his fashion journey and credited his friends at Kantamanto, a busy market for second-hand clothes, for selecting his distinct outfits. I collaborate with my male colleagues in Kanta, while my male colleagues who specialize in selling clothes are located in Kantamanto.

They carefully curate the finest collection for me. Black Sheriff shared that his outfits are picked out through teamwork with his friends Kijo and Co. We prioritize working as a team, and Black Sherif compared this to the way characters in movies think and collaborate. I have a great appreciation for the collaboration and cooperation that comes with working as a team.

When observing movies such as Avatar, you can witness the way in which the characters collaborate. “It solely revolves around the manner in which you dress and expressing your creativity through your wardrobe choices.” Even though Black Sherif primarily depends on second-hand fashion, he recently hinted at a collaboration with an Italian brand in the fashion industry, set to be revealed in the upcoming year.

This discovery highlights the increasing acknowledgment of his distinct fashion, which often incorporates recognizable components such as black boots, sun hats, denim outfits, a black bandana necktie, and beanie hats.
