Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has highlighted the positive things Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey brings to the Gunners.
He said this ahead of Arsenal’s group stage game against RC Lens in France later tonight at 19:00 GMT in the UEFA Champions League; Arsenal recorded a 4-0 win over PSV Eindhoven in the previous game.
Partey returned to training after recovering from a groin injury and according to Arsenal’s Spanish manager, the former Atletico Madrid player could play a part against Lens. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
Talking about Partey’s return to the group, Arteta talked up the Ghanaian player’s abilities saying, “He’s a big player and we know what he brings to the team.
He knows exactly what we need and with the injuries we had to other players in midfield and at the back he complements us in a great way and gives us options. So it’s great to have him back again” according to British media outlet The Standard.
Partey is among a few Arsenal players with prior Champions League experience.
