Manchester United have three options to replace flop Rasmus Hojlund

Another week, another injury blow for Manchester United. In fact, you can make it two.

The 20-year-old striker has only suffered a ‘muscle strain’ as opposed to a serious injury and there is hope he will be back before the end of the month, as long as there are no further setbacks.

United will already be without the suspended Marcus Rashford for that trip to Istanbul and the prospect of also being without Hojlund, the top scorer in the Champions League, doesn’t bear thinking about.

It once again highlights United’s reliance on a raw striker who has yet to net a goal in the Premier League and the huge amount of pressure that has been dumped onto his shoulders due to wider recruitment issues.Hojlund has shown enough so far to suggest he could become a huge success in a United shirt, though his latest injury scare raises fresh questions about his workload and United’s handling of a player who was already injured when he signed.
