AGI, a news agency, reports that Alessandro Florenzi, the full-back for Milan, is currently being investigated for participating in illegal gambling.

The public prosecutor in Turin pressed charges against Sandro Tonali and Nicolò Fagioli, both of whom agreed to plea bargains with the FIGC resulting in seven and 10-month suspensions.

Aston Villa and Italy football player Nicolò Zaniolo is currently being looked into and has provided testimony, stating that he only utilized apps for entertainment purposes such as video poker and blackjack, and never engaged in sports betting.

That situation is still unresolved, and currently he has been summoned to represent Italy in international competitions. The investigation has been ongoing secretly, and it has been revealed tonight that Florenzi has been notified by the authorities that he is being formally investigated. It appears to be a similar accusation to Zaniolo, involving gambling on games of luck rather than placing bets on football matches. Professional football players are strictly prohibited from engaging in any form of gambling, including activities like poker.

Nevertheless, Zaniolo and Florenzi would likely wish to avoid facing severe consequences for participating in sports betting, opting instead for a less severe punishment like a simple financial penalty.

If it is discovered that the apps or websites they used for gambling were against the law, they may encounter difficulties. AGI reports that Florenzi will be present in Turin within the upcoming days to provide his statement.
