Agyemang Diawusie, who was formerly a youth international for Germany, has sadly died at the young age of 25.
Jahn Regensburg, his present team, shared the heartbreaking news on Tuesday afternoon. The club was deeply surprised and saddened by the unexpected passing of Diawusie, as conveyed in their statement. On Tuesday, SSV Jahn was given the devastating information that their professional player Agyemang Diawusie passed away at the young age of 25.
The club is in a state of shock and profound sorrow due to this unfortunate and tragic incident. The club requested that Diawusie’s family be given privacy, expressing that the Jahn family is grieving and offering their thoughts to Agyemang’s family, relatives, close friends, and companions. Due to the dire circumstances and as a sign of consideration towards his family, we kindly request that their privacy is given due respect.
The reason behind Diawusie’s death has not been revealed. In July, he had just returned to Regensburg after being a part of the club’s academy when he was younger. During this season, he played in a total of 16 games in various tournaments for the team. Diawusie showed great potential and received the opportunity to represent Germany at both the Under-15 and Under-19 levels.
He dedicated a majority of his professional life in Germany, competing in a total of 48 matches for RB Leipzig Under-19s and 55 matches for the German third division team Wehen Wiesbaden. He also had a short period of time in Austria, playing for SV Ried.
