News has emerged stating that a fire blaze has consumed the French-Line area of the Kumasi Central Market, resulting in substantial destruction to stores.
According to reports, the fire started at approximately 7:00am on Sunday, causing more than 300 shop owners to frantically try to protect their belongings, while some could only watch in despair as their livelihoods were destroyed by the flames.
Firefighters found it challenging to control the fire even with the assistance of four fire tenders. The firefighting efforts are facing significant challenges due to the extensive damage and the presence of potentially dangerous substances in the affected area.
The exact reason behind the outbreak is still uncertain, and despite the Ghana National Fire Service being present, community members are uniting to manage the intense flames.
